As President & CEO of Electric Cities of Georgia, Inc. (ECG), I have had the opportunity to work with Flint Building Company on the development of our new ECG Member Training Institute in Forsyth, Georgia. This project is an important investment for our organization and our members, and Flint has served in a key role in helping move it forward.
From our perspective as owner, Flint Building Company has performed in a reliable and professional manner throughout the project. They have demonstrated a strong ability to manage subcontractors effectively, keep work progressing in an orderly fashion, and maintain focus on project schedule and execution. Based on what we have seen to date, the project has continued to move ahead in a timely way, and the workmanship has reflected a solid commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Flint has also shown sound financial responsibility during the course of the job. As far as we have been able to observe, they have handled change-order discussions in a straightforward and professional manner and have worked collaboratively to address cost implications when unforeseen conditions or scope refinements arose. Their approach has inspired confidence that project finances are being managed responsibly and with appropriate transparency.
Communication has been another strength. Flint has been responsive to our team and to the project consultants involved, and they have approached issues in a practical, solution-oriented way. When questions or unexpected conditions have come up, they have addressed them promptly and professionally, working with the owner, architect, and project representatives to identify reasonable solutions and keep the project moving forward.
Safety has also been taken seriously on this project. To our knowledge, there have been no injuries or safety incidents on the job, which reflects positively on Flint’s jobsite management and overall professionalism.
Based on our experience, I would not hesitate to recommend Flint Building Company for similar construction work. We would certainly consider hiring them again for future projects.
